European Network in Universal and Global History (ENIUGH)

Welcome!

The European Network in Universal and Global History seeks to foster and promote research and teaching through the establishment of platforms of communication and exchange for scholars working in the field of world and global history all over Europe. The main instruments to achieve these aims are:

to regularly organise a European Congress on themes of World and Global History.
to publish with its periodicals 'Comparativ' and 'history.transnational' and through other forms ongoing efforts in the research of global linkages in a historical perspective.
to offer administrative help for bi- and multilateral cooperation in the fields of Masters and PhD programmes.

ENIUGH welcomes all who are engaged in transcending national history and invites for active membership as well as for contribution to its publications and events.

New Members of the Steering Committee

Two members of the Steering Committee, Miroslav Hroch and Stefan Houpt, have recently stood down. We thank them very much for their work on the committee. In their place, we are delighted to welcome Markéta Křížová (Charles University, Prague) and Juan Carmona Pidal (Universidad Carlos III, Madrid).

New Benefit of Membership

We are pleased to announce a new benefit of membership: the option of taking out a subscription to the print edition of the Journal of Global History for 2010 (3 issues) at the reduced price of 24 euros (or 18 euros if ou are a paid-up student member of ENIUGH).

Next Eniugh Congress

The Third ENIUGH congress has taken place from 14 to 17 April 2011 at the London School of Economics and Political Science. It attracted more than 500 scholars to London from all over Europe and the world, from almost 40 countries.
