The European Network in Universal and Global History seeks to foster and promote research and teaching through the establishment of platforms of communication and exchange for scholars working in the field of world and global history all over Europe. The main instruments to achieve these aims are:

 

  • to regularly organise a European Congress on themes of World and Global History.
  • to publish with its periodicals 'Comparativ' and 'history.transnational' and through other forms ongoing efforts in the research of global linkages in a historical perspective.
  • to offer administrative help for bi- and multilateral cooperation in the fields of Masters and PhD programmes.


ENIUGH welcomes all who are engaged in transcending national history and invites for active membership as well as for contribution to its publications and events.

Next Eniugh Congress

 

The Third European Congress on World and Global History will be held at the London School of Economics & Political Science, 14-17 April 2011.

The theme will be 'Connections and Comparisons'.

New Members

 

We welcome the several members who have joined since our second congress in Dresden last July. In alphabetical order, these are Carlo Marco Belfanti (Brescia), Giovanni Gozzini (Siena), Regina Grafe (Northwestern), Stefan Houpt (Carlos III, Madrid), Barbara Lüthi (Basel), Alexey Miller (Central European University, Hungary and Academy of Sciences, Moscow), Hagen Schulz-Forberg (Aarhus), and Alessandro Stanziani (EHESS, Paris).

We also thank the outgoing members for their service during the previous term: Carol Adamson, Kapil Raj and Shalini Randeria.
